ROCKS AND THE ZODIAC
You probably know the sign the sun was in at the time you were born, its also known as your birthsign, Aries, Taurus, Aquarius etc. The sun takes a year to move around the zodiac, changing signs around the 20th of each month. Many people are not aware of the fact that actual day in the month it changes from one sign or another varies by up to three days from year to year. If you were born on or around the 20th of a month and are not sure what your true sunsign is, I can tell you – just click here and send me your date of birth and the time (if known).
Unless you have had your birthchart calculated by a professional astrologer you probably don’t know the sign the moon was in at the time you were born..The moon moves around the 12 signs of the zodiac every 28-29 days, so the moon changes sign every 2 or 3 days.
Your sun sign tells you the type of energy your outer, assertive self runs on and the moon tells you the type of energy your inner, passive self runs on.
Understanding both sides of your personality is obviously very important. If you would like me to tell you your moon sign click here and send me your date of birth and time (as near as possible) If you don’t know your time I may be able to tell you anyway.
For thousands of years certain rocks and minerals, precious and semi precious have been associated with the different signs of the zodiac and heavenly bodies. As the wheel of twelve or sometimes thirteen signs changed so too did the associations. Some have stood the test of time and remained fairly constant, Scorpio is always connected to Garnets, Taurus to Emeralds for example. Others changed over time and different cultures and nowadays it can be quite confusing to know exactly which is your ‘birthstone’. Recently anyone making any type of jewellery seems to assign different gems or even bits of coloured glass to different months or signs in a random fashion , often merely to complement their product range.
The associations I have given here reflect years of research and meditation on the link between the vibrations of the stones and the intrinsic qualities of the signs. However this can only act as a guide and when choosing a rock for your own personal use, find one you are drawn to rather than one just linked to your sun sign, after all each of have the energies of all twelve signs within us.
